Title 1 Parent and Family Engagement Program

The Valdosta Middle School Parent Involvement Program seeks to improve student achievement by partnering with parents and other stakeholders.  The School Improvement Plan, Parent Involvement Plan, and School Parent Compact outline in detail how the Parent Involvement Program works and what roles parents, teachers, and students play the success of school-wide initiatives.

Stakeholder Feedback Survey  - Gives parents and stakeholders the opportunity to provide input and review the School Improvement Plan, Parent Involvement Plan, and School Parent Compact. (These documents can be found on the right hand side of this page, in the VMS front office, and at the Media Center. After reviewing these documents, please provide feedback to the following statements/questions. We value your input and use it to revise these documents and procedures for the upcoming year.  
 
Title 1
Valdosta Middle School is identified as a Title I school as part of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA). Title I is designed to support State and local school reform efforts to improve teaching and learning for students. Title I programs must be based on effective means of improving student achievement and include strategies to support parental involvement. All Title I schools must jointly develop with all parents a written parental involvement policy
